Paschim Vihar is one of the posh residential colonies in Delhi which houses mostly middle class and upper middle class people, though residents of the lower income group can also be found. It falls under Punjabi Bagh subzone of West Delhi. Located in the western part of Delhi, Paschim Vihar comprises various housing and business complexes. In a first for Delhi Metro, alternate trains coming from Mundka station will branch out from New Ashoka Park station, turning left to terminate at Indralok station on Line-1 or turning right to terminate at Kirti Nagar station on Line 3.



Phase III of Delhi Metro will see Line 5 being extended on both sides. The line will be extended to Bahadurgarh in Haryana from the western end (Mundka), and to New Delhi Railway Station from the eastern end (New Ashoka Park). Line 5 also has a historical value as it is the first standard gauge railway line in the country.



Paschim Vihar will also benefit from Delhi Metro's Phase IV which will be completed in 2021. The colony will fall on the line that will run along Outer Ring Road in north and west Delhi. According to tentative plans, this metro rail line will run between Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar in North Delhi and Sagarpur near Janak Puri West Delhi, passing through Madhuban Chowk (Rohini, Peeragarhi, Meera Bagh, Uttam Nagar and Dabri crossing.

Maharaja Agrasen Bhavan is the social hub for hosting any and all kinds of ceremonies, social and religious alike.
